He also has judgement abilities according to Wakabayashi (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, page 29).
He has enough composure to solidly defend the goal (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 44, page 47).
According to Hyuga, in terms of sharpness among the members of Meiwa, they're rivaling each other for the first and second spot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 46, page 35).
He was among the best 20 players of the 6th juveniles national tournament (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 48, pages 49-50).

Overlap

Shooting
His running shot can be caught with two hands by Wakabayashi, as he was aware of where he'd aim (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 46, pages 36 to 38).

Jumping side kick
He can hit the ball with a jumping side kick, similar to a jumping volley before Takasugi can clear it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 47, pages 57 to 60), but an injured Misaki can clear it on the goal line (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 48, pages 1 to 6).

Long pass
He can pass a long, straight pass towards a teammate in the front line (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, pages 30-31).

Throwing

Taki might not shot against him, so he might not be able to defeat him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 43, page 16).
He seemed confident in stopping a long shot from Wakabayashi, but can be tricked if Misaki is deviating it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 43, pages 31 to 34).

Coming out of his goal
He can come out of his goal to try and stop a dribble breakthrough from an injured Tsubasa but may not be able to take the ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 48, pages 23 to 26).

Reaction
He has good reflexes because he's from a long lineage of karate practitioners and did karate training even before gradeschool (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 37, page 19).
He may not react to an unexpected twin shot from Tsubasa and Misaki (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 37, pages 36 to 41).
He may not react to a forward somersault shot from Tsubasa after he was tricked by a long shot from Wakabayashi, deviated by Misaki (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 43, pages 31 to 38).
After making a diving save, he might not get up on time to react to an overhead from Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 47, pages 20 to 26).
He can react, but not stop skylab hurricane from the Tachibanas (Endless dream, pages 33-34).

One handed catch
He can stop an overhead from an injured Tsubasa, but he might not be able to properly catch it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 43, pages 19 to 25).
He can stop a shot from an injured Misaki, but he might not be able to properly catch it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 47, pages 16 to 18).

Double handed catch
He can catch with a double handed diving catch a penalty kick from Matsuyama although the latter's leg was injured (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 28, pages 91 to 94).
He can catch with a double handed diving catch a shot after controlling a pass from Tsubasa, then land perfectly with a somersault (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, pages 16 to 20).
He can catch with a double handed diving catch a high centering from Misaki before Izawa can reach it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, pages 26 to 29).
He can stop a jumping volley from an injured Tsubasa, by using both his legs to block it, then catching it with both hands (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 44, pages 44 to 47).
He may not be able to catch a long overhead from outside of the penalty area from Tsubasa, because it's somehow delayed, and get into the goal after bouncing on him because of a strong rotation effect (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 44, pages 61 to 68).

Triangle jump
Even if he made a save on the other side of the goal, he can catch with a two handed diving catch a volley shot on the opposite side from Tsubasa thanks to his triangle jump (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 37, pages 12 to 17).
It can also allow him to jump higher, if Tsubasa is using the Tachibanas' aerial soccer by using the goal post to jump higher and kick a high ball with an overhead, Wakashimazu may be able to stop it by jumping on the other goal post and catch it with two hands as the ball is kicked (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 39, pages 51 to 55).

Full body catch
He can stop with a full body catch a diving header from Misaki on a long pass looking like a long shot from Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 44, pages 30 to 34).
He can stop with a full body catch a long shot from Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 45, pages 9-10).

Repelling
Even in an unsteady posture because he was tricked by a shooting feint from Tsubasa, he can repell with the foot a shot from Misaki from inside the penalty area, although the repelled ball can be picked up by an opponent (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 37, pages 10 to 13).
He can repell a shot from Kisugi done at point blank range, which can be shot another opponent (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 37, pages 31 to 35).
He can reflexively repell a shot from inside the penalty area from an injured Tsubasa, whose shot blew away Sawada beforehand, it may still go in the goal, but then he can clear it with a karate back kick (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 42, pages 15 to 19).
He can barely repell a middle shot from Matsuyama (Endless dream, page 32).

Jumping
He can jump almost as high as Izawa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, pages 28).

Scoring goals
Wakashimazu when playing as a forward, can try to score with a diving header on a razor cross from Soda, but a keeper like Jengo can react and repell it (Golden-23 arc, chapter 39, pages 13 to 17).

Still when playing as a forward, he can score against Jengo with his reverse aerial vertical circular kick directly on a long feed from Wakabayashi, since they both understand each other as keepers (Golden-23 arc, chapter 41, pages 11 to 19).

Still as a forward, he can try to score on a S.S.S sent by Misaki as a pass during a corner kick, but it can be intercepted by a keeper like Jengo (Golden-23 arc, chapter 49, pages 2 to 5).

Still as a forward, he can go for high ball contests and defeat Paraguay's n°2, as well as score against their keeper with a header (Golden-23, chapter 71, page 12), he can also score with the head against Malaysia on a cross from Misaki (Golden-23 arc, chapter 79, pages 4 to 7), and did so on two occasions (Golden-23 arc, chapter 79, pages 12-13).


When in posession
Wakashimazu when playing as a forward, can go for high ball contests and defeat Denmark's n°7, Jensen and Gransen at the same time, and while he didn't score but hit the goal bar this way, the ball was still exploited by teammates (Golden-23, chapter 30, pages 5 to 17). Still during high ball contests, while he may not lose in height, he can still lose to Alo Phard in power (Golden-23 arc, chapter 101, pages 6-7). He might also lose in these kind of contests to Nakazawa (Japan dream 2006, pages 10-11).
He can also use postplay this way by defeating Gransen (Golden-23, chapter 31, pages 8-9).

He can perform a transforming kick (Golden-23, chapter 94, pages 13-14), but only ever used the superior transforming perspective kick in a match (Golden-23, chapter 96, pages 2 to 5), using it as postplay, tricking opponents like Glen and Thwaide into blocking a shot while he's passing the ball instead (Golden-23, chapter 96, pages 2 to 5).

When not in posession
Wakashimazu can use his karate techniques as a field player to defend, Bobang can dodge his circular karate kick, but won't be able to dodge his upward karate kick afterwards (Golden-23 arc, chapter 37, pages 11 to 14).

Defending the goal
He can defend against Napoleon's cannon shot and repell Hino's tornado shot with a shuto (25th anniversary, part 4, pages 16 to 18).
He can react to Kazami's toe shots, although he will be slower and will only repell the ball, Furukawa can then shoot the repelled ball to score (Golden-23 arc, chapter 9, pages 16 to 21).
Wakashimazu might not concede against Paraguay for a whole half, though the defense line largely contributed to this defense (Golden-23 arc, chapter 72, page 13).
Wakashimazu can catch a shot at middle range from Madris (Wish for peace in Hiroshima, part 2, pages 19-20).

He can concede to Kazami and Furukawa in a 7 vs 7 minigame (Golden-23 arc, chapter 5, pages 14-15).
Wakashimazu can concede against Haas, faking a header but doing a jumping volley instead (Golden-23 arc, chapter 23, pages 13 to 19).
He can concede, however, to Kages' turn around shot, even if he's marked by Igawa Gakuto (Wish for peace in Hiroshima, part 1, pages 16 to 18).
He can also concede to a diving header from Selinas on a cooperation play between Kyrious, Madris and Selinas (Wish for peace in Hiroshima, part 1, pages 25-26).
