Playstyle
He can use "ace killer" moves like landing on another player with the ball, to make him leave on a stretcher (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 2 to 4).

Abilities
Regarding abilities as a soccer athlete, he was obviously superior to Hyuga in this arc (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Awareness
He grasped Hyuga's bad body balance and running feint quickly (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 25, pages 7 to 9).

Defense
He can be tricked by Hyuga's bad body balance which can become a running feint (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 23, pages 19-20).
He can then be tricked by another player because he was used to Hyuga's peculiar running (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 28, pages 13-14).

Marking
He can make Hyuga lose his balance when he's trying to control a pass, but can still manage to use postplay (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 22, pages 1 to 5).
He can mark Hyuga like he's glued to him (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Dash and Physical contact
He can cut the ball and make Hyuga fall despite him trying to get away by dashing once he's grasped his peculiar running (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 25, pages 7 to 9).

Shoulder charge and Interception
He can make Hyuga fall with a shoulder charge, intercepting a ball that was coming towards him (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 23, page 5), multiple times (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 25, pages 4-5).
He can push Hyuga to intercept a pass (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Physical contact and Interception
He can intercept the ball by forcing himself in front of Hyuga (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Sliding tackle
He can try to tackle Hyuga if he's late to stop him, but the latter can dodge him by jumping (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 23, pages 20 to 22).
He can tackle Hyuga successfuly (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Jump, Header and Physical contact
He can win against Hyuga during high ball contests (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, pages 7-8).

Blocking
He can use a face block to block an overhead from Hyuga (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 25, pages 13 to 18).
He can dive right in front of a player to block a shot (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 26, page 16).

Blocking and Balance
He can be blown away by Hyuga's raiju shot, but can get his balance back to perform another block (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 27, pages 1 to 6).
He can perfectly block Hyuga's raiju shot thanks to his strength in both legs, outstanding balance and by forcing his spikes into the grass (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 27, pages 5 to 11).

Fighting spirit
He's praised for his fighting spirit as he is using a face block (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 25, pages 13 to 18).

Injury resistance
Despite being injured to the leg and abdomen by Hyuga's raiju shot, he still managed to play although it was harmful to his performance (Road to 2002 arc, chapter 28, pages 13-14).
