J Boys challenge

Position
He's a forward (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 28-29), however, he could play midfielder or defender (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 120-121) and can in fact drop back to the midfield if he doesn't have the patience to wait for the ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 117 to 119), but may not keep this position for long (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, page 134), he can also drop back to pick up a loose ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, page 47).

Abilities
Thanks to him being on attack, Hamburg Jr. youth has won all of the West Germany and European Junior tournament titles (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 85, page 7). He is Hamburg and Germany's ace striker (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 26). Barbas is considering him to be Europe's n°1 player (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 61). Mostly known for the power of his shots, his dribbling and passes are also excellent, he's first class everywhere and is a true all rounder (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 120-121). According to Wakabayashi, he has no weakness (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 120-121). He can somehow feel the danger coming from a player (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 130-131). He made his pro debut at 15 (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 112, pages 30-31).

Offensive abilities
He's a natural goal hunter guided by his goal sense (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 24-25). He can react at top speed to a pass from Kaltz in a small open space (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 97), to a pass even if a player is letting it go through him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 32-33). He can position himself a bit backward to receive a goal kick from the keeper (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 21-22). He can be faster than Max or Sano to get a loose ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 46-47), can shoot a ball repelled by a player (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106,
pages 30-31), he may not be able to pick up a high loose ball before Matsuyama and Margus (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 38-39). He can be marked and be prevented to receive a pass by Soda and Ishizaki (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 123 to 125).

Shooting
According to Wakabayashi, even 3 years ago his shots had nothing in common with those of Brieger, Harness, Jara and Mayer (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, page 30). He can react to a ball crashing on the goal post and score with a sliding shot which Paz won't be able to stop (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 23 to 25). He can score against Hamburg's pro keeper Budenski (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 112, pages 30 to 33). When they were younger, 3 years ago, his bullet shot from inside the penalty area was stopped by Wakabayashi once, but he couldn't do anything against dozens of his shots afterwards (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 28 to 30). He was apparently able to score 50% of the time to Wakabayashi from outside of the penalty area during duels (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 85, page 18), but in real matches, Wakabayashi's abilities are improving, and he thinks he can't score against him from outside of the penalty area (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 28-29), but he is the only one who can score against Wakabayashi in West Germany (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 26). He was also able to score against Gino (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 91, pages 71-72). He achieved a hat trick against Canada (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 92, pages 100-101), Portugal (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 93, pages 4-5) and Uruguay (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 24-25). He has a 100% success rate against Morisaki who can only barely follow the shots (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 88, pages 8-9). If he's shooting at point blank range, he can score even if Wakashimazu is eagerly putting his hand to stop it during a one on one (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 53-54). His shot at point blank range can also injure Wakashimazu (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 88, pages 2-3). If he's knowing his shot will be blocked by defenders, he can shoot with the back of his foot a pass directed towards him, but Wakashimazu can stop it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 110 to 113), his shot might be blocked by Soda, Jito and Matsuyama although the ball can still go away (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 30-31). He may not be able to score as well if Wakabayashi is jumping to a side, when he's shooting to the other, and Wakabayashi is using a triangle kick, even using the goal bar to reach it if it's too low, although he won't be able to catch it perfectly (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, pages 27 to 31).

Fire shot
Hyuga's tiger shot is stated by the audience to be similar to his fire shot, and even surprised him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 34-35), but according to Wakashimazu, Schneider's fire shot is faster, more powerful and better than Hyuga's tiger shot (Captain Tsubasa, chapter 86, pages 100-101). He can shoot at long range with his fire shot and leave Wakashimazu motionless (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 98 to 100). He can shoot a fire shot from the front of his own goal but Wakashimazu can stop it with a shuto (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 19 to 22). He can score at long range with his fire shot against Paz (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 96, pages 35 to 41), (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 7 to 9), (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 32-33). He can score against Wakabayashi from outside of the penalty area during duels with the fire shot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 85, pages 16 to 18). He's supposedly able to score 50% of the time from outside of the penalty area with the fire shot against Wakabayashi, but the latter can successively stop it not only once by catching it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 126 to 130), but twice by repelling it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 27 to 29), thrice by catching it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 16 to 18) and even four times by catching it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, pages 6 to 9). He can pretend to shoot an overhead kick but trap the ball instead and be hidden by players to kick his fire shot, which Wakabayashi won't be able to catch this way (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 104, pages 31 to 35). Matsuyama and Jito might not see the fire shot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, pages 6-7). He can shoot his fire shot before Piela and Reveres can tackle him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 101), before Jito can block it and before Ishizaki can use his face block (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 124 to 127). He may not be able to score with his fire shot if Wakabayashi is coming out of his goal, taking it in the face (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 50 to 54), players can get bruises only by the air frictionned by the ball when he's shooting (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, page 132). By getting hit by the fire shot at point blank range, a player like Ishizaki can be injured, faint and leave on a stretcher (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 34 to 51). His fire shot can be stopped by Ishizaki's face block (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 35-36).

Non fire
He can very occasionally shoot with the left leg but can't perform the fire shot this way, he's calling it the non fire and Wakabayashi may not be able to stop it because he isn't expecting it and hesitates for a moment (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 42 to 47).

Last fire
He can shoot a Last fire even if he's heavily marked by Hamburg's players, but Wakabayashi may be able to stop it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 113, pages 2 to 5)

Juming volley
He's able to perform a high jumping volley on a pass that is like an arrow and leave Wakashimazu motionless because his move was hidden by defenders (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 84 to 89), can directly kick a long pass from Muller with a jumping volley, but a keeper like Wakabayashi can anticipate the long pass, come out of his goal and block him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 90 to 93).

Overhead kick
He's able to perform an overhead kick on a loose ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 104, pages 28-29).

Free kicks
He can pretend to shoot a free kick but let a teammate do it instead (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, page 31).

Ball keeping
He can get past Ishizaki tackling him by jumping over him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, page 108), can dodge Soda's razor tackle by jumping over him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, page 122), can keep posession of the ball in the air against a wheel kick from Matsuyama by blocking it with both legs, then land perfectly (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 123 to 125), can keep posession of the ball against Matsuyama, Soda, Jito and Ishizaki, he won't be able to shoot but will still be able to pass (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 22 to 24).

Feint
According to Nitta and a Tachibana, when he's getting past them, they have the same feeling as if Tsubasa got past them (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 80-81). He can get past Nitta and a Tachibana in the blink of an eye with brilliant feints (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 80-81), and can send the ball above defenders like Matsuyama, Soda and Jito instead of shooting to get past them (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, page 26), can use multiple shooting feints to dodge multiple blocking attempts from Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 40 to 45).

Dribbling
According to Ishizaki, he's as fast as Tsubasa when dribbling (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 82-83), during a dribble breakthrough, he can get past Izawa, Soda, Jito and Ishizaki in succession (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 52 to 54), can get past Reveres, Caceres and Lara in succession (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, page 6), can get past Sano and Sawada in succession with a fast and phantasmagoric dribble (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 120-121), can get past Sano, Soda and Jito (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 48-49), can get past and blow away Misaki with a forcible dribble (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 14-15).

Straight line dribbling
He can get past Sawada and Matsuyama with a straight line dribble (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 80-81).

Passing
He can send a backpass to a teammate (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 48-49), can pass the ball to get past Ishizaki and Matsuyama (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 48 to 51), can pass the ball if he's unable to shoot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 105, pages 22 to 24), can pass the ball to another forward after dribbling (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, page 22), can pass the ball to another player after taking the ball back (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 71-72), can pass the ball to another player after luring two players (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 109), can make a backpass at top speed while going left to avoid a collision against Jito and Takasugi (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 82-83). But his pass with the left leg can be intercepted by Matsuyama (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 88, pages 16-17).

Defensive abilities
His intuition can tell him when he must go back to defend (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, page 42), can react to a loose ball after a clash, but Kaltz may be faster to get to it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 54-55).

Ball stealing
He can win a clash against Tsubasa by hitting the ball with both of his legs, and land perfectly while Tsubasa is falling (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, page 5). After a clash against Victorino, he won't fall and gain posession of the ball (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 97, pages 4-5), he stopped and even blew away Hyuga trying to get past him by kicking the ball in his guts (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, pages 74 to 79), can take the ball against Matsuyama by tackling him in his blind spot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 106), can take the ball from Sorimachi as he is controlling the ball during a pass (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, page 70), can take the ball from Nitta (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 88, pages 6-7). He can be even in a clash against Tsubasa, using the left leg and can be repelled and fall just like him (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 52 to 55).

Interception
He was unable to stop a one-two between Hyuga and Sawada although he wasn't looking to stop them at the time (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 86, page 32), can intercept a pass from Muller before the intended receiver can get it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 116 to 117).

Blocking
He won't be able to stop Hyuga from shooting his neo tiger shot and will even be blown away by it if his leg is numb (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 68 to 71).

Jumping volley
He can block a jumping volley from Tsubasa with a jumping volley of his own, and will both manage to not lose their balance and land (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, pages 50 to 53).

Clearing
He prevented Hyuga from shooting by shooting faster than him in the guts (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 13 to 15), but may be slightly slower to clear a ball than Tsubasa can kick a drive shot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 108, pages 52 to 59).

Captainship and Leadership
He is usually Hamburg Jr. youth's captain (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 85, page 110). He is also Germany's captain (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 92, pages 96-97). He can give directives to the other players (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 71-72), can shout directives to the other players during the game, preventing them from crumbling (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 68-69), can tell things he realized to the other players (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 103, pages 133-134), can give hand signs to other players (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 104, pages 24-25), and give a speech to pump up his teammates at half time (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 12-13).

Fighting spirit
He can bite his own leg to remove a numbness (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 12-13).

Judgement
He noticed Tsubasa even if he didn't see him play (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 87, pages 55-56). He can notice even a slight change of speed in Hyuga's tiger shot (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 89, page 75). He also noticed that Pierre stayed in Napoleon's shadow to score goals, and felt that he was hiding something (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 99, page 1).

Injury resistance
His leg can become numb after a clash with Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 106, pages 52 to 69), but can bite his own leg to remove the numbness (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 107, pages 12-13).
