Scoring goals
Nitta can perform a jumping volley on a cross from Misaki, but can be blocked by Jensen, thanks to his long legs (Golden-23 arc, chapter 18, pages 17 to 19).

Nitta can react to through passes from Misaki, but can still be stopped by Jensen (Golden-23 arc, chapter 28, pages 6-7), or be blown away by a player like Mumanga (Golden-23 arc, chapter 48, pages 9 to 12).

He can also react to loose balls, like after it has hit the goal bar, and score against denmark's keeper with a super low altitude flying peregrine falcon (Golden-23 arc, chapter 30, pages 11 to 17).
He can go towards a loose ball in front of the opponent's goal, but Miyamoto can clear the ball before he can reach it (Japan dream 2006, page 14).

He will mostly use variations of his peregrine falcon shot, denmark's keeper will concede, and won't even move against a peregrine falcon running direct volley shot unmarked (Golden-23 arc, chapter 27, pages 5 to 12), Paraguay's keeper can concede to a peregrine falcon running volley (Golden-23 arc, chapter 72, pages 16 to 17). Malic can be left motionless by his running volley direct peregrine falcon shot improved thanks to his special training that allowed him to learn the peregrine falcon kick, on a transforming perspective kick from Wakashimazu (Golden-23 arc, chapter 97, pages 1 to 13). But a keeper like Gino can defend against it (25th anniversary, part 4, pages 19 to 21).

Saudi Arabia's keeper can concede to him in a one on one sitution on a through pass from Misaki (Golden-23 arc, chapter 82, pages 14-15).

Nitta can react to a pass in front of the keeper from Misaki, and carefully shoot in the empty goal, but his shot might be blocked by Thwaide (Golden-23 arc, chapter 110, pages 5 to 11).

When in posession
Nitta can directly send a long kick from the keeper to another forward thanks to his tornado kick, even Pierre and Gentile may not be able to prevent it (25th anniversary, part 2, pages 31-32).

When not in posession
Nitta can try to intercept a raised ball, but a player like Kazami can perform a pass in id air before he can get it (Golden-23 arc, chapter 7, page 10).

He can cover a player to help a keeper (Golden-23 arc, chapter 9, pages 2-3), but won't be able to stop someone like Kazami from kicking a toe shot (Golden-23 arc, chapter 9, pages 16-17).

He may not be able to stop Diaz' dribble breakthrough (25th anniversary, part 2, pages 8-9).
