Kids dream
Position
He's a goalkeeper (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 17, page 15).
Abilities
He was confident in being the n°1 keeper of the 6th juveniles national tournament if Wakabayashi wasn't around (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 17, page 15), and was indeed said to be the 6th national tournament n°1 keeper at some point (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 34-35). Tsubasa, however, is considering him to be inferior to Wakabayashi (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 56-57), and many other players are eventually agreeing (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 67). Afterwards he's openly admitting to only be the 3rd best keeper of the 6th national tournament, implying that he's inferior to Wakabayashi and Wakashimazu (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 36, page 29). He still made it among the best 20 players of the 6th juveniles national tournament (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 48, pages 49-50).
Passing
He can throw the ball to teamamtes (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 58).
His goal kick is powerful, as he can send the ball directly toward the front of the opponent's goal, taking aback Takasugi and Nakayama, and leading to an effective counter (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 45-46). Although he did it in a kid's field he could supposedly do this in a bigger field as well, and is described as impressive (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 48), but a player like Misaki can intercept it (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 50-51).
High ball contest
Despite his height, he's jumping at about the same level as Tsubasa and may lose high ball contest against him, allowing him to send it to Izawa who can score in the empty goal (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 82-83)(Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 82).
Coming out of his goal
He can come out of his goal to block the shooting courses of Tsubasa, but the latter can pass instead to let Kisugi score in the empty goal (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 78-79).
He can try to get revenge by coming out of his goal and irregularly charging a player, but someone like Tsubasa can dodge it and score anyway with a jumping volley (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 87 to 91), and Tsubasa thinks he may have been able to take the ball if he went for it with the same energy he used to make his irregular charge (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 92).
Saving
No one managed to score against him in the group stage of the 6th national tournament (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 34-35), but may not be able to make a save against a shot from Misaki on a pass from Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 85).
One handed catch
He can catch with a one handed diving catch a middle shot aimed at his opposite side from Misaki (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 53 to 55).
Two handed catch
He can catch with two hands a shot from Tsubasa from outside the penalty area, but can let it go into the goal because of the rotation effect (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 70 to 73).
Full body catch
He can stop a shot from Tsubasa with his huge body (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 42-43).
He can stop a shot from Kisugi thanks to his huge body (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 49-50).
Fighting spirit
He seems to perform less efficiently after taking at least a goal (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 85).
Captainship and leadership
He's the captain of Naniwa (3109 days full record Data Book).
He can give directives to the defenders (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, page 41).
He can also give good directives to allow his teammates to keep posession (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 60 to 62).
He can, however, be outsmarted by Tsubasa (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 64-65).
He can also give wrong directives (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 26, pages 66).
