Scoring goals
Misugi can try to score with his drive shot, but may not be able to score against Nigeria dedicating themselves to defense (Golden-23 arc, chapter 49, pages 9 to 12).
He can score at middle range against Vietnam gathered in front of their goal (Golden-23 arc, chapter 83, page 11).
He can try to score with his flying drive shot, but Gino can defend against it (25th anniversary, part 4, pages 19 to 21).
Misugi can also try to score from the right side with the flying drive shot on a short corner kick (Golden-23 arc, chapter 98, pages 16 to 19), but may hit the corner of the goal (Golden-23 arc, chapter 99, pages 5 to 9).
When in posession
Misugi, with Matsuyama, can organize the game instead of Misaki if he's marked (Golden-23 arc, chapter 98, pages 7).
Misugi, when playing as a defender, can overlap, fake a shot in order to lure an opponent, he can then dodge a tackle like Denmark's 8 and make an acrobatic pass in mid air (Golden-23 arc, chapter 20, pages 1 to 7).
Misugi, when playing as a right midfielder, can dribble up the sideline and send crosses in front of the goal (Golden-23 arc, chapter 30, pages 2 to 5).
Still as a right midfielder, he can dribble up the sideline to lure an opponent like Daje before performing a side change towards a teammate in an empty space (Golden-23 arc, chapter 100, pages 4-5).
When he's playing as an offensive midfielder along with Misaki and Matsuyama (usually in an horizontal line), they are so excelling at keeping and circulating the ball that they're making the Denmark team look bad (Golden-23 arc, chapter 29, pages 13-15).
Misaki can perform magnificents one-twos with Misugi, Romendaal and Denmark's n°7 can be tricked by it (Golden-23 arc, chapter 31, page 7).
He can switch positions with someone, giving the ball back to his teammate thanks to a heel pass, that can trick Konwell and Zevic (Golden-23 arc, chapter 89, pages 7 to 9). They can also switch positions to confuse an opponent like Zevic on who is going to receive a pass (Golden-23 arc, chapter 93, page 18).
When Matsuyama and Misugi are playing as defensive midfielders and Misaki as an offensive midfielder (like in a triangle), they can steadily circulate the ball with them (Golden-23 arc, chapter 37, page 5).
Misugi can cut a shot from a teammate midway if he thinks the opponent's keeper can stop it, to allow someone else to shoot the loose ball (Japan dream 2006, pages 34 to 40).
When not in posession
Along with Misaki and Matsuyama, he can assume the balance of a team (Golden-23 arc, chapter 79, page 15).
Along with Misaki and Matsuyama, he can counter Furukawa and Kazami's play after observing it for a bit (Golden-23 arc, chapter 10, pages 10-11).
Along with Matsuyama, he can go pick up loose balls, but Cruyfford may reach it before them (Final countdown, pages 23-24).
Ochado can get past him with a dribble breakthrough (Golden-23 arc, chapter 38, pages 8 to 11).
Misugi as a libero can mark an opponent in a dangerous position, he can prevent Christiansen from shooting, but won't be able to prevent his special S.R.L cross (Golden-23 arc, chapter 23, pages 6 to 10).
Misugi can contribute with his calm discernment (Golden-23 arc, chapter 79, page 19).
He can use a rough play to defend against Konwell who is eagerly using power (Golden-23 arc, chapter 112, page 2).
