Appearances
He took part in a huge selection test, but looked really bad at running a 50 meters dash, at dribbling and juggling, to the point that he thought he didn't stand a chance. But his childhood friend O made sure to help him display his greatest weapon in practical matches, his height. Then O also helped him endure the hellish training camp before the tournament (World youth arc, chapter 36, pages 1 to 5).
China came to observe the match between Japan and Thailand (World youth arc, chapter 23, pages 7-8). His name will be revealed after Japan's victory (World youth arc, chapter 26, pages 64-65).
He'll be surprised that most of the members of Japan youth are different in the Asia youth championship compared to the qualifiers (World youth arc, chapter 30, pages 6-7), but will still be motivated to win against them (World youth arc, chapter 31, pages 26-27). Him and the rest of China youth, after seeing the match between Japan youth and Saudi Arabia youth will be worried that they'll have to face these two strong teams, but will rejoice after hearing that Sho Shunko will play the second half of the match against Japan youth (World youth arc, chapter 34, pages 46 to 48). Unable to score against Japan youth, he'll remember the efforts O made to keep him in the team, and will persist with the idea of scoring (World youth arc, chapter 36, pages 1 to 6), and will eventualkly manage to score thanks to persistence (World youth arc, chapter 36, pages 16 to 19). Despite the additional goals that Sho will score, they'll still lose the match 3-6 (World youth arc, chapter 38, pages 20 to 33). Then, despite playing well without Sho, they'll also lose their match 0-1 to Saudi Arabia youth, and won't break through the group stage of the Asia youth championship (World youth arc, chapter 39, page 17).
