Other informations
Takahashi confirmed in an interview that Diego Maradona is the inspiration behind Juan Diaz. His name might come from Ramón Díaz, who played the '82 World cup which influenced Takahashi a lot for the J Boys challenge arc.
Captain Tsubasa was vague about his club, then the Data book says that his club was Argentinos juniors, but Rising sun stated that it was Boca juniors. Unless there was a transfer, he always played for that team, even in the u14 section. Even a transfer would be unlikely since Barbas wanted to recruit Tsubasa in the Argentinos juniors and Diaz stated that they would be rivals in Argentina (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 99, page 23).
