Playstyle
Offense
The Tachibanas are attacking on their own, with combi play attacks which are described to be as good as Tsubasa and Misaki (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 22, pages 52 to 57).
Triangle shot
The Tachibanas are also hiding some trump card (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 23, page 24), their aerial soccer, the triangle shot and its variations.
Defense
All of the other players besides the Tachibanas are defending since they aren't required to attack (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 22, pages 52 to 57). Their defense can hold on against Nankatsu SC's attacks when Tsubasa and Misaki are devoted to defense (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 23, page 21). They can even hold on quite well when Tsubasa and Misaki are on offense, it's described as excellent and impressive (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 23, page 21).
Other informations
A theory of mine is that Hakata was the first version of this team, because they're training with older players and the first thing we're seeing about the Tachibanas is that adults can't stop them from playing soccer in the train station. That's not much, granted, but the other teams he's mentioning were either important in the tournament (Meiwa), were met but only slightly changed (Naniwa SC becoming Naniwa FC) or could be a case similar to Hanawa (Furano becoming Kujukuri) (Captain Tsubasa arc, chapter 10, pages 8-9).
According to the 2018 anime, Matsumoto Masashi is the captain.
