Offensive tactic
Thanks to their wide variety of long shots, they can use the storm of long shots tactic (Rising sun arc, chapter 68, page 17).

Defensive tactic
Misugi can lead the defense line to use the offside trap (Rising sun arc, chapter 4, page 18).

Free kicks
They can use multiple players, like Misaki, Soda and Tsubasa to trick the opponent during a free kick, allowing Matsuyama to shot below the wall (Rising sun arc, chapter 33, pages 3 to 9).
Tsubasa and Hyuga can make it look like they're kicking a twin shot, but Tsubasa is in fact the only one kicking the ball towards Matsuyama who is sending it back, Tsubasa is then letting the ball go through towards Hyuga who can shoot a wall in chaos (Rising sun arc, chapter 92, pages 2 to 9).

Other informations

Nicknamed "Golden-23" (Japan dream 2006, page 30).

They were considered the 3rd best contender for the victory in the olympics by Netherlands' data (Rising sun arc, chapter 9 page 23).

Sorimachi and Sano being squad members as well as Oda being the assistant back member are actually guesses, based on who played more than the others during the Golden-23 arc.

Misugi wore the n°6 only in the friendly match against Japan (Japan dream 2006, page 4), but wore the n°14 afterwards (Rising sun arc, chapter 2, pages 22-23).

Igawa Gakuto wore the n°15 only in the friendly match against Greece (Wish for peace in Hiroshima, part 1, page 16), but wore the n°2 afterwards (Rising sun arc, chapter 7, pages 24-25).
