Previous year results - 5th day - Werder Bremen (Home) – Hamburg SV (Away)
0 min: Both teams are using their best lineups, Schester will lead a classic 4-4-2 formation while Hamburg is using their iron wall formation, 1-4-5.

2 min: And Bremen is off to a fierce start with Schester going for a middle shot already, trying to surprise Hamburg's defense as he is known for his reliable passes and rarely ever shoots unless it's the end of the match. The defense line is surprised, but Hamburg's keeper reacts nicely.

9 min: Schester is in control of the middle of the field, stopping the flow of Hamburg's passwork everytime, but ever since his surprising shot at the beginning of the match, Hamburg is widely aware of his actions, his pass is cut by a defender of Hamburg right in front of Margus.

15 min: Schester again, cutting one of Hamburg's pass and immediately sending the ball to Hamburg's penalty area before Hamburg can reorganize their defense. Volley shot from Bremen's forward, easily caught by the keeper Wakabayashi. Only Margus may be able to score against him as the Japanese keeper has very impressive records.

23 min: Looks like it'll be a one-sided match as the next dangerous attack is for Bremen again. Schester feeds Bremen's right mid fielder, sending a centering for Margus, but Wakabayashi catches the ball in the air, before it can reach Margus. Wakabayashi is well-aware of the last year U-19 Bundesliga's top scorer most terric weapon.

29 min: Hamburg's formation seems a bit off, players are getting out of their zone to mark Schester. Looks like Schester have lured them somehow, and the other players are free to launch an attack... But failed, looks like Hamburg's keeper kept his defenders in their zone and the last pass is cut. Schester seems surprised and annoyed by this.

33 min: Low pass from Schester and diving header from Margus, impressive dive, but the ball is still hit from outside of Hamburg's penalty area, and saved by Wakabayashi. Impressive nonetheless, as the japanese keeper still concedes a corner from a header done from so far away.

34 min: Nice bending corner pass from Schester, but still intercepted by Wakabayashi before Margus can hit it.

41 min: Schester forcibly takes the ball from Hamburg and goes for a dribble breakthrough, only to be stopped near the penalty area by Kaltz, who seems to have waken up only now.

42 min: Breakthrough from Kaltz now, quite a scare for Bremen until Schester finally catches up to him and stops it. Kaltz still has the ball though.

45+2 min: Hamburg has surprisingly set the pace ever since Kaltz's breakthrough. Schester is cornered up in defense against the surprisingly efficient Kaltz, and here's the half-time's whistle.

HALF-TIME: No changes in both team's formations.

46 min: A rough tackle from Bremen. Hamburg is protesting but to no avail, hometown decision?

60 min: Surprisingly uneventful 2nd half, Schester is completely shut down by Kaltz, whether he's near him or not. Did he observe him in the first half?

70 min: Kaltz's defenses are becoming more desperate. Clinging to an opponent as he tripped, it looked like it was on purpose, and the referee thinks the same. Yellow card for Kaltz.

85 min: Kaltz's defenses aren't that efficient since his yellow card, but all this time allowed Hamburg's defenses to recover, so much that their only forward even managed to try for the goal, to no avail though.

90+1 min: Hamburg might just pull it off... A draw against last year's champion in their home would be a great feat.

90+4 min: The clock is ticking... Schester is shaking free from his markers with magnificent stepwork followed by a nice jump to dodge Kaltz's tackle, he's performing a pinpoint centering for Margus in mid-air! Wakabayashi is coming out of his goal to intercept it, but it's too far away, while Margus was just on the line of the penalty area! Outperforming any other defender of Hamburg with his high jumping power, he's hitting the ball with his terrific header! Wakabayashi is jumping too, extending his arm, trying to block it, but he's aiming under Wakabayashi! The ball is going under him, bounces on the ground and goes in the empty goal!
GOAL! 1-0 for Bremen at the very last moment!

It's over! In the end, Bremen win at home as everyone expected them to. Still, it was really hard for them to pull off.
